Refresh

After 15 years, it was time for a fresh perspective. Our refresh includes a beautiful new logo, an extensive website update, and a thoughtful review of brand collateral, creating a new expression of my work. Thank you to David Pidgeon and the team at Pidgeon Ward — my studio neighbours — for their insight, creativity and ability to distil ideas into a brand that feels both authentic and enduring.

Preserve

Preserving the past, one frame at a time. Here is a look at some of the stunning restoration projects we’ve captured so far in 2026. These buildings carry layers of history, and bringing them new life requires far more than preservation alone. Architects & Designers play a vital role in balancing contemporary needs with respect for the original design, navigating complex structural, regulatory and conservation challenges along the way. It has been a privilege to document the craftsmanship, vision and collaboration that underpin these transformations.

Launching into 2026, Australian House & Garden magazine featured two stunning heritage renovation projects by Amanda Davis Architect & Moloney Architects. It was a pleasure to photograph these thoughtful transformations, which beautifully balance heritage character with contemporary design.

Awards

Congratulations to Museums Victoria for winning the prestigious Installation Design award at the 2026 Australian Interior Design Awards for their incredible exhibition, Our Wondrous Planet.

Capturing this space was an absolute privilege, but the project held a deeper personal significance behind the lens. My brilliant photography assistant for this shoot, Saskia Heng, actually shared a unique connection with the venue. Way back in 2010, a five-year-old Saskia stepped in front of my camera as a child model for my very first exhibition shoot with Museums Victoria, Dynamic Earth and the images still feature on the Museums’s website today.

What a beautiful, full-circle moment!

It’s an honour to join this remarkable group of creative leaders in judging the 10th anniversary of the INDE.Awards, a landmark year recognising the very best in design excellence.

Farewell

No one forgets the mentors, leaders and visionaries who help shape the beginning of a career, those who inspire, challenge and quietly guide us towards what is possible.

Thank you, Daryl Jackson, for your extraordinary contribution to Melbourne and to the many people whose lives and careers you influenced along the way. Your work has become part of the fabric of this city, and your legacy will continue to inspire future generations. Rest peacefully, knowing that your vision, generosity and enduring impact are deeply valued and will not be forgotten.

Pause

Winter is a curious season for photographers. As work slows, many of us retreat like bears to a den, not to sleep, but to recharge, explore, and seek out new sources of inspiration.

It's also a fantastic time of year for photographing north-facing architecture, with low winter sun creating soft, directional light that beautifully reveals form, texture, and detail.

I'm offering 15% off my day rate for all photography commissions shot between 15 July and 31 August 2026.
